The manner of death was accidental for a 10-year-old who died in November in what local police traffic identified as a sledding incident on the Wind River Indian Reservation, according to a death docket released Wednesday. Â
Travis Blackburn Jr. died Nov. 26, 2022, of blunt force trauma to the chest, the docket states. The impact stems from a “vehicle mishap.” Â
Blackburn’s time of death was 9:21 p.m., and the child was not intoxicated. Â
The FBI in November was investigating the case but not eager to release details since it was still under investigation at the time. Â
The agency, which investigates incidents on the Wind River Indian Reservation, did not immediately respond Wednesday to a Cowboy State Daily request for more information.
