60 MPH Wind-Driven Grass Fire Closes I-25, Jumps I-80 Near Cheyenne
Multiple firefighting agencies were on hand Saturday as a fast moving grass fire shut down Interstate 25 south of Cheyenne. Wind gusts over 60 mph fanned the flames and it eventually jumped the southern lanes on I-80 as well. After several hours, the fires were out but still smoldering.
