Dear editor:

Sens. Barrasso and Lummis are unhappy about iPhones substituting “racist” for “Trump” in voice dictation (Cowboy State Daily, Feb. 25).

That’s understandable. A tech giant should have better standards and control.

But I don’t recall either senator expressing disapproval of the marketing of “Let’s Go Brandon” or “F*** Joe Biden” signs.

There’s not much difference in tone or propriety in the insult to either president.

The senators’ selective indignation must have something to do with the fact that both are beholden to Trump.

He can destroy their political careers with just a word or two, as he did to former Congresswoman Cheney.

Sincerely,

Dan Elliott, Laramie
