Republican Gary Crum Beat Democrat Mike Selmer in the race for the Wyoming Legislatureâs Senate District 10 on Tuesday.
Crum got 6,324 (68%) votes to Selmerâs 3,403 (32%), according to unofficial results from the Albany County Clerkâs Office.
They were vying for the seat left by Sen. Dan Furphy, R-Laramie, who earlier announced that he was stepping down, having served in the Senate since 2017. Crum said he coordinated with Furphy in his decision to run.
Crum is former University of Wyoming football star and NFL offensive lineman. He works in banking, and has stated that his main focus in office will be on rural health and education.Â
