Comedian Brad Williams Brings His ‘Fun Size’ Act To Cheyenne In 2024

Brad Williams, who’s building a national audience with his short takes on life as a little person, will bring his show to the Cheyenne Civic Center on Nov. 2, a rare Cowboy State Stop for a headlining comedian.

Williams’ comedy is sometimes PG and sometimes more adult, but usually riffs on his size, an act that’s made his one of the most popular on the national comedy circuit, which in 2024 includes the Cowboy State.

His Little Humor

Along with joking about being confused for other little people actors like Wee Man from Jackass and Peter Dinklage of “Game of Thrones,” Williams connects with his audiences through everyday stories that break through any social barriers about what you can and can’t politely say about little people in public.

“I had a woman who came up to me after a show and said, ‘Brad, you’re funny. I run a children’s hospital. I would love it if you came down to the children’s hospital, entertained the children, and brought them some smiles,’” Williams says in one of his stories. “I go to the hospital and a kid puts his hand on my shoulder and says, ‘Don’t worry, they’ll fix you here.’”

“You’re happy. Of course you’re happy, people are always happy when you see midgets. You can’t help it,” he said. “You see this (he points to himself) and you know you’ve got a parade and candy coming your way.”

Williams has appeared on “The Tonight Show,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and hosted his own one-hour special “Fun Size” that was the highest rated special on Showtime. He became the first comedian in the history of Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas to sell out their newest show, “Mad Apple” in a new 1,200- seat theater.

A Boost for State

Along with Williams, famed rapper Ice Cube also plans a return performance in Wyoming in 2024.

Wyoming Office of Tourism Executive Director Diane Shober said bookings for national acts such as Williams and Ice Cube are good for the national profile of the state.

“Anytime a well-known entertainer performs in Wyoming there’s a likelihood that they’ll bring a loyal fan base with them, and that’s always good for increasing overnight visitation in that local community,” she said.

Tickets to see Williams range from $11.50 to $53 and can be bought at cheyennepresents.com.

Ice Cube returns to Wyoming after selling out The Lincoln music venue in Cheyenne earlier this year.

Ice Cube, whose real name is O’Shea Jackson Sr., bring his style of gangsta rap to The Lincoln on April 18. Tickets go on sale Jan. 3 at the venue’s website. Prices range from $85 to $175.

The rapper is well known for his music that goes back to being a member of the group N.W.A. before launching his solo career. He also has appeared in several movies, including “Boyz n the Hood.”
