The Fremont County man found dead on a riverbank south of Riverton last month died of drowning while he was on methamphetamine, the coroner has ruled.
Bud G. Perry was 39.
He had been dead for weeks when a pedestrian found him April 23, south of Riverton on the bank of the Wind River, the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office reported at the time, though the office didn’t provide Perry’s name then.
Perry’s blood contained 3,100 nanograms per milliliter of methamphetamine, and 17 milligrams of acetone per deciliter, according to a Fremont County Coroner’s docket report released Tuesday to Cowboy State Daily.
He was an American Indian male who stood about 5-foot-11 and weighed about 175 pounds. He had brown hair and brown eyes, the docket says.
Authorities found no personal property on Perry, besides clothing and pocket items law enforcement collected.
The sheriff’s office said at the time the incident did not appear suspicious, and the docket supports that, ruling his drowning as accidental.
