Tim’s Tips:Â
There seems to be a bit of a gas war going on in Douglas. Two stations there have maintaned the state’s lowest price per gallon, of our surveyed cities, for several days at $3.78. They are now joined by a third station offering the same price.Â
Want to save a few more cents per gallon? Look for the growing number of companies offering gas rewards cards.Â
Saturday I was filling up and saved 3 cents per gallon at a Loaf & Jug by using my Smith’s card. Safeway offers similar rewards for its customers at their stations. On top of savings like these, a lot of credit cards that might already in your wallet offer rewards and discounts.Â
Gas stations themselves have their own company rewards programs as well. Exxon/Mobil offers a rewards card that also saves you 3 cents per gallon. Conoco has its “Kickback Points” card and Sinclair has a mobile app which according to its website can save you 10 cents OR MORE per gallon!
So take a look in your your wallet. You might already be eligible for some savings.
