Each year some five pairs of geese visit the Sniffin yard in April where they fight with each other for places to lay eggs.
The winning pair found a site on an island in a pond, which should have been perfect.Â
Then about 16 inches of wet snow fell over a week’s time and the goose continued to be buried by the snowfall.Â
This photo shows her sticking her head up through the snowbank as she faithfully sits on her eggs. Â Yes, this Mother Goose is one heckuva a mother. Â She deserves applause.Â
