Following the announcement from Walmart, Sam’s Club and other national chains, Target and CVS announced Thursday that masks would be required in their stores in Wyoming and across the country as well.
CVS will begin requiring masks on Monday, according to a news release posted to their website.
“To be clear, we’re not asking our store employees to play the role of enforcer,” the announcement said. “What we are asking is that customers help protect themselves and those around them by listening to the experts and heeding the call to wear a face covering.”
There are two CVS Pharmacy Stores in Wyoming, both inside Target stores in Cheyenne and Casper.
Target’s mask requirement will start Aug. 1, the Minneapolis-based retailer confirmed to USA TODAY. It excludes young children and “those with underlying medical conditions.”
