The men and women who will be inducted into the Wyoming Cowboy Hall of Fame as members of the Class of 2024 have worked the open range, remote grazing allotments, and they have herded thousands of head of livestock.
They have also worn out a lot of saddles.
This year’s class includes 23 cowboys from 15 counties. All of them have at least 45 years of cowboy work under their belts.
They will be recognized at the 11th Annual induction ceremony at the Ramkota Hotel in Casper, Oct. 11 and 12.
Regional committees in ten different areas of Wyoming researched and scored over 50 nominations and sent the top picks to the WCHF State Board of Directors. The State Board also selected several nominees.
Formed for historical, cultural, literary, and educational purposes, WCHF's chief goal is “To preserve, promote, perpetuate, publish and document Wyoming’s working cowboy and ranching history through researching, profiling and honoring individuals who broke the first trails and introduced that culture to this state.”
Over the next few months we will have stories here on Cowboy State Daily about these and other inductees into the Wyoming Cowboy Hall of Fame.
