Its Sunday, February 5th and snow has returned. Look for breezy conditions and some snow accumulation in many parts of the state. There is a high wind warning in effect this evening in central and southeast Wyoming, so traffic on I-25 will be affected.

Central:

Partly sunny in Riverton today, with a high near 33, and wind chill values as low as -5. Mostly sunny and windy in Casper, with a high near 44, and wind gusts as high as 41 mph. Mostly cloudy in Glenrock today, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 43; breezy, with winds gusting as high as 30 mph.

Overnight, mostly cloudy in Riverton, with a low around 8, and wind chill values as low as -5. Casper can expect scattered snow showers tonight, otherwise partly cloudy and windy, with a low around 29 and wind gusts as high as 37 mph. There’s a 20 percent chance of snow tonight in Glenrock, with a low around 26; windy, with winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

Southwest:

Scattered snow showers expected in Rock Springs today, otherwise partly sunny, with a high near 34; windy, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Scattered snow showers in Kemmerer (less than a half inch possible), with a high near 31; breezy, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Travelers over South Pass can expect scattered snow showers and breezy conditions, with a high near 28 and wind gusts as high as 29 mph; less than one inch of accumulation possible.

Overnight, Rock Springs can expect scattered snow showers (less than a half inch accumulation) with a low around 15, and wind chill values as low as -5; breezy, with gusts as high as 31 mph. In Kemmerer, mostly cloudy with scattered snow showers tonight (less than a half inch) and a low around 14, but wind chill values as low as -5; winds could gust as high as 31 mph. Scattered snow showers over South Pass tonight (less than a half inch possible), along with wind gusts as high as 30 mph; temperatures should remain steady around 17, with wind chill values as low as zero.

Western Wyoming:

Snow showers in Alpine today, with a high near 28; total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible. Star Valley could see up to 2 inches of snow today, with a high near 28. Scattered snow showers in Pinedale today, with less than an inch of accumulation; highs near 23, but wind chill values as low as -5.

Snow showers are likely overnight in Alpine (1-3 inches of new snow possible), with a low around 18; breezy, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Star Valley can expect up to 2 inches of new snow, with a low around 18. Scattered snow showers in Pinedale tonight, with a low around 6, but wind chill values as low as -10; blustery, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Northwest:

Jackson can expect about an inch of snow today, with a high near 26, breezy, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Scattered snow showers in Mammoth Hot Springs, less than half an inch possible; highs near 30, but breezy, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Isolated snow showers in Dubois, otherwise partly sunny and breezy, with a high near 39; wind gusts as high as 23 mph. 

Scattered snow showers overnight in Jackson, with a low around 15, and wind gusts as high as 20 mph; new snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Mammoth Hot Springs can expect scattered snow showers (less than one inch possible); lows around 19, but windy, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Isolated snow showers tonight in Dubois, with a low around 22; breezy, with gusts as high as 30 mph. 

Bighorn Basin:

Mostly cloudy in Cody today, with a high near 44; breezy, with winds gusting as high as 21 mph. Partly sunny in Ten Sleep, with a high near 41. Mostly cloudy in Powell, with a high near 38. 

Overnight, mostly cloudy and breezy in Cody, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Scattered snow showers tonight in Ten Sleep, with a low around 21. Isolated snow showers expected tonight in Powell, with a low around 23; breezy, with winds gusting as high as 20 mph. 

North Central:

Ranchester will see increasing clouds today, with a high near 38. Increasing clouds in Sheridan today, with a high near 40. Mostly cloudy in Story, with a high near 45. 

A chance of rain and snow overnight in Ranchester, with a low around 27; new snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. A chance of rain and snow tonight in Sheridan, with a low around 28; new snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Story has a 50 percent chance of snow (less than half an inch), with a low around 28. 

Northeast:

Partly sunny in Gillette today, with a high near 40, and wind chill values as low as 13; breezy, with wind gusts as high as 44 mph. Partly sunny near Devils Tower, with a high near 44, but wind chill values as low as 7; breezy, with gusts as high as 38 mph. Newcastle can expect partly sunny skies, with a high near 44, but wind chill values as low as 10; winds could gust as high as 24 mph.

Gillette has a 50 percent chance of snow overnight, with a low around 31; breezy, with gusts as high as 40 mph. About a half inch of snow is possible near Devils Tower tonight, with a low around 27, and wind chill values as low as 19; breezy, with gusts as high as 36 mph. There’s a 50 percent chance of snow in Newcastle, with a low around 27.  

Eastern Plains:

Partly sunny in Torrington today, with a high near 50. Midwest can expect partly sunny skies, with a high near 37; windy, with gusts as high as 39 mph. Cloudy this morning in Wheatland, then gradual clearing, with a high near 52. 

Overnight, partly cloudy in Torrington, with a low around 25; breezy, with wind gusts as high as 35 mph. Scattered snow showers tonight in Midwest, with a low around 25; breezy, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Partly cloudy and windy tonight in Wheatland, with a low around 34; winds could gust as high as 60 mph.

Southeast:

In Chugwater, cloudy skies in the morning will clear later in the day, with a high near 50; breezy, with wind gusts as high as 30 mph. Mostly cloudy in Cheyenne today, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 46.  

There’s a 20 percent chance of snow tonight in Laramie; partly cloudy, with a low around 15, but wind chill values between zero and 10. Mostly clear and windy in Chugwater tonight, with a low around 35; winds could gust as high as 65 mph. Cheyenne can expect mostly clear skies, with a low around 35, but windy, with gusts as high as 55 mph.

South Central:

Partly sunny in Baggs today, with a high near 35, but wind chill values between -5 and 5; windy, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Patchy blowing snow in Rawlins today under mostly sunny skies, with a high near 39; windy, with gusts as high as 45 mph. 

Partly sunny today in Wamsutter, with a high near 29, and wind chill values as low as zero. Windy, with gusts as high as 40 mph, and isolated snow showers expected later in the day. 

Overnight, snow is likely in Baggs (less than an inch possible), with lows around 12. There’s a 20 percent chance of snow tonight in Rawlins, with a low around 17; windy, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Isolated snow showers overnight in Wamsutter, with a low around 15, and wind chill values as low as zero; breezy, with gusts as high as 32 mph.
